  1. Hi jo, just read your blog and sorry to hear that you are looking at another transplant, but how great that your brother in law is compatable. My love to you and your family. Hazel x

  2. Hi Jo, As Hazel said above…I’m sorry that you have found yourself needing another transplant…but great news about your brother in law being a match! Your blog has been amazingly informative, and will be great for anyone else about to undergo dialysis. I was just listening to the BBC Iplayer…and I don’t know if you will find it interesting…but there is a radio show called ‘Too old to donate?’. It is about a lady in her 80′s who has a fully functioning kidney and wants to donate and the debate that surrounds it because of her age. Anyway, thought you might want to have a listen. Good luck with everything…love to the Hollie and your beautiful boys. Kirsty (went to school with your lovely wife) :-)

    • Hi Kirsty,

Thank you for your kind comment, I haven’t tracked down the programme on iPlayer yet but I definitely will. I don’t know if you saw it, but the programme on More4 called ‘My Kidney And Me’ was very interesting. It was about a guy who donated his kidney altruistically, meaning to a complete stranger. Very interesting, and his friends and family were all split on whether it’s a sensible thing to do.

I’ve passed you love onto Hollie and the boys, hope you’re well x
